Ever since I added Moka pot to my coffee making ritual, things have changed at home. Morning coffee routine gets more sense of ceremony. My calming colour Moka pot, with freshly brewed coffee aroma gently diffusing in the air, from kitchen to living room.

Some of you may think that this is a hassle to do it in the early morning while you are still not fully awake. My personal experience is, the procedure wakes you up, allowing you to slowly ease into the challenging morning. Not to mention, it is something for you to look forward to, the night before.
My Moka pot has a fine mash built-in filter in which I can accept without adding additional coffee filter paper. For the spent coffee grounds, I just remove them and put them into a container and place the container in my balcony for them to be air dried. Acting as an alternative to inorganic fertilizer, the spent coffee grounds are a gift to the garden. You just just sprinkle a thin layer on your soil or add them into your compost pile. Since I planted quite a few edible plants in my small balcony, spent coffee grounds can just go directly on their soil after air-drying.
Before owning a Moka pot, I often use my French coffee press to make my morning coffee. Removing the spent coffee grounds was slightly more tedious and they are often too wet (takes longer to dry).
Knowing that there is no additional chemical in your garden makes me feel safe. The beauty of it is, it doesn’t require too much extra work.
